Went to both cons, and enjoyed more the socialising after the event. I hardly enjoy attending cons anymore, and find the enjoyment with the comradery with fellow artists. I guess once you go to one con, you've gone to them all, and having to sit at a booth for hours on end ain't so crash hot. Also considering that these aren't strictly comic conventions as they are pop-culture, this means that the majority of the attendees aren't that interested in comics as they are with the cult celebrities.
Looking forward to Doujicon in 2010, though. The ONE con I look forward to. Hardly any fan-art, and more original indie comics. People also create their own works, so this means that there is enough buzz for people to actually create work especially for this con. Chatting to people there is always a joy and I get really motivated with my own works. There wasn't one this year and I really felt the void, so here's hoping next year it's back in full force. Apparently, it is also happening in March/April so I don't have to wait too long.
Uni is occupying more of my time, which is fair enough since I increased my subjects this semester. It means I won't be around much; not that anyone'd notice, until mid-november. I dug myself into a deep hole, and I have to dig my way out of it now.

Do you go to Supanova?

I go to Supanova in Melbourne. I might go to Supanova in Sydney next year though. I did come up for Smash in August, but it was more a con for fanart than original works. I heard good things about the bris and syd supanovas, so it's something I'll definitely get around to attending/boothing. It'd be good to get that Diabla Dragon's tale comic I'm missing.

Diana Greenhalgh, professional inker
Been occupied with studying for exams and also frantically finishing my pencils for vol 3 (this should be probably be put in a journal update (and my blog too for that matter)). Putting more emphasis on finishing that degree. It really eats up my time.
I suppose after mid-nov (exams finish for me) everyone will be sick of my whining on completing comic pages.
